Ich kannte tatsächlich zuerst die Verfilmung ‘Me Before You’ und fand den Film schon unglaublich schön, deshalb wollte ich unbedingt auch das Buch lesen. Und was soll ich sagen: Es hat mich komplett gepackt. Ich habe es in kürzester Zeit durchgelesen, weil ich es einfach nicht aus der Hand legen konnte. Die Geschichte ist unglaublich berührend. Es geht um einen jungen Mann, der nach einem schweren Unfall sein früheres, aktives Leben komplett verliert und seitdem mit seiner Situation kämpft. Seine Entscheidung, wie er mit diesem Leben umgehen möchte, steht im Mittelpunkt – und dann kommt jemand in sein Leben, der ihm noch einmal zeigt, wie schön es sein kann. Ich bin wirklich nah am Wasser gebaut, aber dieses Buch hat mich nochmal auf eine ganz andere Weise getroffen. Ich habe beim Lesen so oft geweint, weil ich richtig mitgefühlt habe. Was mich besonders bewegt hat: Es ist keine einfache, typische Liebesgeschichte. Es geht um Entscheidungen, um Selbstbestimmung und darum, was Lebensqualität für jeden Einzelnen bedeutet. Eine unglaublich intensive, emotionale und gleichzeitig wunderschöne Geschichte, die mich noch lange beschäftigt hat. Direkt nachdem ich fertig war, musste ich unbedingt weiterlesen und habe sofort mit dem nächsten Band ‘Ein ganz neues Leben’ angefangen.

Das Buch erzählt eine ganz bewegende außergewöhnliche Geschichte. Viel zum Nachdenken . Total fesselnd . Sehr sehr schön geschrieben . Ist gibt wenige Bücher die man öfter lesen mag . Dieses ist eines davon .
