The Tempest

Set on a remote island, the story follows Prospero, a sorcerer and former Duke of Milan, who uses magic to orchestrate a shipwreck and seek revenge against those who wronged him, including his usurping brother Antonio. Alongside his daughter Miranda, Prospero interacts with various characters, including the spirit Ariel and the monstrous Caliban. Themes of magic, betrayal, and familial bonds intertwine as Prospero plots to restore his dukedom and facilitate a romance between Miranda and Ferdinand, while a wedding masque adds layers of spectacle and allegory.
