The Underground Library

Set against the backdrop of World War II, the story follows three women connected by their work at Bethnal Green Library. Juliet Lansdown strives to create a safe haven amidst German bombings, while Katie Upwood grapples with personal loss and family issues. Sofie Baumann, a Jewish refugee, seeks solace in the library but faces challenges due to her precarious employment situation. As the library suffers damage from bombings, the women must navigate their struggles and unite to preserve their community's heart, even as tragedies threaten to tear them apart.
