Seventeen-year-old Bailey is less than thrilled to find an old acquaintance, Charlie, among her coworkers at a hotel waterpark. Their previous encounter during a long flight to Omaha, after her parents’ divorce, left her annoyed by his cynicism and commentary. Despite their differences, Bailey begins to enjoy their time together, gossiping about guests and coworkers, especially a couple who keep flirting. They make a bet on whether the pair will get together, with Charlie claiming that opposite-sex friendships are impossible, while Bailey is determined to prove him wrong. As they track the romantic developments around them, Charlie struggles to suppress his growing feelings for Bailey, fearing that revealing his crush could jeopardize their friendship.
