K-pop, K-fashion, K-drama, K-beauty: K-style has surged onto the global stage over the last decade. What drives this phenomenon, and where is K-style headed? This work celebrates the eclectic nature of K-style and its vibrant home city of Seoul, without attempting to define or categorize it. Through interviews with eighteen tastemakers, including Lia Kim from 1Million Studio, rock band leader Hwang Soyoon, renowned tattooist Doy, and leading designer Teo Yang, untold stories emerge, revealing how their identities and experiences in Seoul shape their creative outputs. They reflect on the decade of changes that have led to the current K-style landscape. Complementing these narratives are five distinct photo-essays by celebrated photographer less_TAEKYUN KIM, capturing the dynamic energy of Seoul's streets and the unique style of its youth. Contributions from figures like BLACKPINK songwriter Danny Chung provide additional insights into the scene, while fashion journalist Sukwoo Hong highlights emerging brands in his K-fashion directory, such as PAF (Post Archive Faction). Designed by Hezin O, the work features innovative typography that blends Hangul and Roman scripts, offering a genre-defying exploration of K-style through the voices of its key influencers.
