Flint and Kiffy by Phito Panayiotou begins with a conversation between Adrienne Kiff and her ex-boyfriend Jonas, about how Adrienne had met her partner, Flint. The meeting involved a train journey, make-up and train etiquette. The story goes on to describe the early part of the relationship between Kiffy, a French and Spanish teacher at Westminster School and Flint, a lawyer. They are an unlikely couple, if for no other reason than the age difference and the fact that they seemingly have nothing in common, other than the early morning training commute to work. However, things seem to be progressing along nicely. The reader is told about the very early stages of Flint and Kiffy's relationship and is left to decide whether it will blossom into something so much more. Is it a one-sided relationship or are both Flint and Kiffy as invested as each other? Flint and Kiffy is a love story which includes all sorts of emotions from humour, to love, to sarcasm, to heartbreak, to eroticism and beyond.
