Adrienne Dealey has spent the past six years working for hotels in exotic resort towns and this summer she has decided to relocate to Nantucket. Left flat broke by her ex-boyfriend, she is desperate to earn some fast money. When the desirable Thatcher Smith, owner of the hottest restaurant on the island, is the only one to offer her a job, she wonders if she can get by with no restaurant experience. There seems to be a lot at stake: The Blue Bistro is in its final summer, before closing its doors for good. Adrienne gets a crash course in the business and things seem to be going smoothly ... until Thatch makes Adrienne break one of her cardinal rules, which is never date the boss. Instant chemistry notwithstanding, Adrienne can't quite shake the feeling that there's something more to Thatch's relationship with his brilliant chef and business partner Fiona.
