Nothing Left to See?. Stalag XVII B Krems-Gneixendorf – A Topographic Survey

The largest WWII POW camp in Austria, Stalag XVII B, housed up to 60,000 inmates. Today, the site features remnants and an airfield. Photographer Karin Böhm documented the area, intertwining her findings with historical research by Edith Blaschitz, revealing insights about various nationalities of POWs and their legacies.
