The Moon Pool

Set in a fantastical world, the narrative follows Dr. Goodwin as he encounters an advanced race that has evolved deep within the Earth. This civilization, marked by both immense virtue and great evil, is represented by a powerful entity known as the Dweller or the Shining One. The story explores themes of morality and the decline of a once-noble lineage, with only three members of the original race, the Silent Ones, remaining—purged of flaws and viewed as superior to humanity. The novel continues the tradition of "lost world" adventures.
