The book highlights the collaboration between the Federal Academy of Public Administration and the Federal Office for Information Security to train IT security officers for public administration since 2007. Under the leadership of TH Wildau, the certification concept was adopted in 2010, aiming to enhance information security quality in Brandenburg and beyond. The program has evolved to include diverse student backgrounds and has integrated information security into various non-technical courses, positioning TH Wildau as a pioneer in this field. Funding for student certification was provided by the Horst Görtz Foundation from 2018 to 2020.
