Special Indefinites in Sentence and Discourse

The book explores the semantic and discourse-pragmatic characteristics of indefinite noun phrases, focusing on the relationship between referential forms and their discourse-structuring potential. Through a comparative linguistic study of English, German, and Romanian, it empirically supports and advances the analysis of various indefinite noun phrases.
