Study of the feeding ecology of two fish species

Focusing on the ecological interactions and dietary habits of two fish species at Kalengera in Lake Kivu, this study employs age classification and sex differentiation to analyze their relationships. Findings reveal that the diet primarily consists of 70% rice flour, 20% cakes, and 10% cow manure and chicken droppings. Additionally, it highlights the predatory role of Clarias gariepinus on Tilapia niloticus in the coastal regions, shedding light on the dynamics within this aquatic ecosystem.
