A Constitutional Approach to Political Violence

Political violence today is largely driven by intra-societal conflicts, with looting rebels and jihadists undermining peace and stability in various regions, particularly Central Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia. The resulting chaos leads to significant human and material losses. To address this, a compromise between combatants is essential, promoting constitutional agreements that uphold the rule of law. The book argues for the compatibility of constitutionalism with Muslim societies, advocating for a revival of Averroes' philosophy to counter extremist calls for Islamisation.
