The plot centers on Astalus, who has discovered a powerful Eldric spell book that includes a spell to summon dragons, as he leads an army north to confront Trosgarth's growing power. Warrior priests gain the ability to communicate on the battlefield, while a demon/dragon hybrid poses a new threat. Astalus, possessed by a demon, learns of a permanent gateway to the demon world, allowing Drachar and his minions to emerge. As Prince Fiad leads the unaware army into battle, the outcome remains uncertain, with the looming presence of evil threatening their fate.
