Set in a remote Norwegian village, the story follows Kathrine, a young woman caught between her Norwegian and Sami heritage. Working at the customs office, she feels trapped in a loveless second marriage and struggles with her unfulfilled desires. A painful discovery about her husband prompts her to embark on a journey of self-discovery, challenging the boundaries of her life and identity.
