Far Right-Wing Extremism and Xenophobia in Contemporary Russia

The rise of extreme right-wing ideology in post-Soviet Russia has resulted in violent interethnic conflicts and terrorism, exacerbated by government officials advocating for neo-imperialism. Following Vladimir Putin's ascent to power, the country experienced relative stability and prosperity, leading to his strong support. However, the government's policies have indirectly fostered the growth of this extreme movement, while Putin himself is not seen as the architect of the violence associated with it.
