In 1865 London, Vera Sorokina finds solace in her beloved Penny Dreadfuls while managing her book and print shop with her father. When Vera and Brogan meet, their attraction is immediate yet fraught with complications. As a dangerous criminal organization led by the violent Mastiff begins to threaten their community, Vera and Brogan must join forces to protect those they care about.
