Spanning 6 generations, Cookie's memoir chronicles her family's journey from Eastern Europe to the United States and the influence of their experiences on the life she has led.This book came about thanks to my involvement with the Brandeis memoir class I joined in 2017 led by Leah Schweitzer, helping me to realize my dream of becoming a "published author." Thanks to my wonderful classmates, Charlene, Sandie, Sandie E., Sandy and Barbara, who helped me immeasurably by being patient listeners and constructive critics.
