This is a story about a young Nigerian couple who have been married several years but have no children. There is much joy when Laraba is expecting, but a long-held tribal tradition challenges the results of the birth. Secretly Laraba and Audu embark on separate journeys challenging that belief. Leaving home and each other, they face uncertainty, loneliness and fear. What happens when a long-held tradition requires your dearest treasure?
