The biennial symposia of the Association for Experimental Urology provide a platform for the presentation of experimental studies on new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in innovative urology. The contributions from the 1988 meeting in Aachen report on developments in renal cell cancer, prostatic cancer and adenoma, bladder cancer, urinary diversion, urodynamics, renal pathophysiology, transplantation, and urolithiasis. They cover basic as well as clinical research and reflect interdisciplinary cooperation.
