    • Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is a novel that follows a girl named Alice who falls through a rabbit hole into a fantastical world filled with peculiar, anthropomorphic creatures. In this whimsical realm, she encounters a series of bizarre characters and experiences nonsensical events that challenge her understanding of reality. The narrative explores themes of identity, curiosity, and the absurdity of life, as Alice navigates through a landscape where logic is turned upside down. The story is marked by its playful language, imaginative scenarios, and the exploration of childhood wonder and confusion. As Alice interacts with characters like the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter, and the Queen of Hearts, she embarks on a journey that reflects the complexities of growing up and the search for one's place in the world. Ultimately, Alice's adventures serve as a celebration of imagination and the limitless possibilities of storytelling.

The book by the English author consists of two parts - The Jungle Book (1894) and The Second Jungle Book (1895) - which narrate a series of adventures of an Indian boy raised by wild animals in the jungle. As he matures, he returns to human society, which he subconsciously longs for. Life in the wild, governed by the natural laws of necessity, allows the author to reflect on human society, where the balance between good and necessary evil is disrupted. It is essentially a prose epic featuring animal characters, primarily set in the Indian jungle. The first book contains seven stories, while the second contains eight, each introduced by a short poem and followed by additional poetic texts that complement the narratives. More than half of these tales (three in the first and five in the second part) focus on the young boy Mowgli, who was abducted by a man-eating tiger and saved by a wolf pack. In this world, animals communicate with each other, while humans remain oblivious to their language. Mowgli learns the language of the animals and becomes an integral part of the jungle and a member of the wolf pack.

The Wind in the Willows is a children's novel by Kenneth Grahame, first published in 1908. Alternately slow moving and fast paced, it focuses on four anthropomorphised animals in a pastoral version of England. The novel is notable for its mixture of mysticism, adventure, morality, and camaraderie and celebrated for its evocation of the nature of the Thames valley. In 1908 Grahame retired from his position as secretary of the Bank of England. He moved back to Cookham, Berkshire, where he had been brought up and spent his time by the River Thames doing much as the animal characters in his book do-namely, as one of the phrases from the book says, "simply messing about in boats"-and wrote down the bed-time stories he had been telling his son Alistair.

One of the most beloved adventure stories of all time, "Treasure Island" is a swashbuckling tale of the search for hidden treasure. When an old sea captain named Billy Bones dies at the Admiral Benbow Inn on the west coast of England during the mid-1700s, Jim Hawkins, the innkeeper's son, and his mother discover a treasure map among his belongings. Jim shows the map to local acquaintances, Dr. Livesey and Squire Trelawney, and together they plan an expedition to find the treasure. They set sail aboard the "Hispaniola," led by Captain Smollett, in search of Treasure Island. Among the crew are former pirates, who are led to mutiny by "Long John" Silver, a one-legged tavern-keeper hired as the ship's cook. Written in the late 19th century, Robert Louis Stevenson's "Treasure Island" dramatically depicts maritime life, rich with its perils, in an adventure that investigates the nature of good and evil itself.

In the land of childhood, the small town of St. Petersburg sleeps along the lazy Mississippi, but in its streets, Tom and his friends are up to mischief. Constantly on the run to escape the "unjust" punishments of adults, they concoct new pranks. The true adventure begins one night in the graveyard when a murder occurs, and only Tom and his friend Huck Finn know who the killer is. Tom Sawyer embodies the spirit of adventure and cleverness, causing Aunt Polly much trouble as he navigates the small town. Alongside his friends, he devises endless schemes: they chase mysterious figures, duel with swords like noble knights in the woods, camp as pirates on an island, and uncover treasure in a cave labyrinth. Tom's infatuation with Becky both torments and delights him, while the teacher's beatings do little to dampen his joy in being a rascal. In the end, he and Huck Finn bask in fame and fortune, remaining true to their adventurous lives.
