Jacob's Room

The narrative explores Jacob's journey from childhood in pre-war England through his college years at Cambridge and into adulthood, primarily through the eyes of the women around him. Key figures include the repressed Clara Durrant and the free-spirited art student Florinda, with whom he has an affair. Much of the story unfolds in London, culminating in Jacob's travels to Italy and Greece.
