Gardens (working title) intends to be a guide for modern-day garden owners. It presents a mix of inspiration with useful insight to designing and maintaining a contemporary garden. An inspiring collection of private gardens (mainly in Mediterranean, temperate and continental climates) of different typologies and concepts sets the visual direction and gives insights on outstanding samples. In addition, step-by-step guides and tips for designing and maintaining the space stand beside evocative content in the form of essays and/or features that explore the topic in other inspiring ways. In short, Gestalten aims to create a book for a new generation of garden owners - readers with a contemporary aesthetic culture as well as a strong appreciation of nature and plants.
