The Spy

Set against the backdrop of early 20th-century Russia, the story follows Yevsey Klimkov, an orphaned boy caught in a web of espionage. Apprenticed to a bookseller who sells banned revolutionary literature, Yevsey's life takes a dark turn when his employer is murdered. Vulnerable and frail, he is forced by the Tsarist police to become a spy, navigating the treacherous landscape of loyalty and betrayal under an oppressive regime.
