The First Men In The Moon

The narrative follows a businessman and an eccentric scientist who embark on a lunar expedition. The story unfolds as Bedford, seeking solitude to write a play, encounters Cavor, a reclusive physicist. Together, they journey to the moon, where they encounter the Selenites, peculiar five-foot-tall beings, and bizarre creatures known as mooncalves. The Selenites have a structured society, but their interactions reveal humanity's darker tendencies, leading to dire consequences for Bedford and Cavor as they face imprisonment and the implications of their discoveries.
